Inherited Traits

I can recall lots of examples of things that are predictable inherited traits from 10th grade biology: eye color, hair color, ability to roll your tongue, etc.

What you never predict are the unknown weird things your kids will inherit.

Like the Shackelford tendency to read rather than actually engage in conversation (no matter who is around).
Or the Freeman "Noassatall" Disease (creating ill-fitting pants all across the South).

V has inherited her mother's tendency to use her tongue. Not just for talking.

When playing, it must come out.

To concentrate, it must come out.

Sometimes she even "cleans" our glass front door with her tongue-without being asked- resulting in a 2 minute time out. Gross.

We can't wait to see what else she's inherited!

The green dresser belongs to Jin Andrews, V & I went to visit my friend Kelley's son who just arrived from Korea! Virginia trashed his room as a welcome home present.
