Bird poop

Bird poop is a fascinating topic around the VeggieBruce household. It all started when there was bird poop on V's swing one day. That led to a whole conversation about how birds don't know how to use the potty and now...well, bird poop obsession.

Every time we see some, we have to stop and discuss.

What color it is, how it got there, etc.

Today, when we got home from V's school she spotted some on the sidewalk. I ran inside to get my camera and this is the pose I found her in.

Yep, curled up around bird poop. Why you ask? Well, let's hear from V herself.

Why, oh why does she tell me not to lick it??? (Her actual quote "Don't lick it! I don't want you to lick it.") I am still trying to figure out the psychology of that one-it grosses me out on every level possible. Any tips/advice/thoughts are appreciated! Have I somehow mentally scarred her already? I thought I was safe until at least ages 8 or 10 before she suspected me of being unstable/weird/just plain gross.

Clearly another sign that she is advanced beyond her 2 1/2 years.

It is my fault. When she was a teeny baby I whispered in her ear, "Your mommy loves animal poop; be careful."
